I get junk in my mailbox sometimes. Well... actually more than just "sometimes". This time it had a heading saying "10 most Embarrassing Beauty Problems solved". I was curious. I thought to myself: what would they define as "embarrassing"?
So I clicked, and found out the 10 things we should all be very embarrassed about!
1.Cold sores
2.Dandruff
3.Warts
4.Cystic Acne
5.Hairy moles
6.Bad breath
7.Bacne (acne on your back)
8.Ingrown bikini line haires
9.Bruised toenails
10.Dark armpits
Start to become embarrassed people!
I score a 3 out of 10 on this. So I should be a little less than average embarrassed but still enough to be pretty uncomfortable with myself.
Seriously, this shit is bullshit. Girls (and guys), if you read shit like this, skip it or laugh about it. There is no need to be insecure about any of such things, no need at all! Unless you desire a world where people go around judging each other and themselves constantly. Oh oops.. we already have that world.
But it doesn't have to be that way. We can change it and the best prove is by starting with yourself.
By releasing your own shame and accepting your body for what it is and stop allowing fears about other people's judgements. If they are that shallow and ignorant to judge such things, it tells you a lot about who THEY are and not about who you are.
I got dandruff since years, my dad has it, his dad has it as well. I dont use shampoo, they try to use all kinds of shit. Does it help? Nope. Does it embarrass me? Not in a million years.
We have created this world, where everything revolves around money. This system feeds off people's insecurity because that way it can sell. People will try to releave the insecurity by buying the stuff that will "cure" them and make them stop being embarrassed or insecure. And why are they insecure? Because they are told to BE insecure! If you are not trained to feel insecure about these things, if you are not around judgemental people, and around people who care about you as a living being - you will in no way develop an insecurity. Only in a society of competition, judgement, hostility and gossip will these feelings spring up.
So this money system does not only create the most obvious abuse such as hostile competition, corruption, sweatshop work, crime, poverty, starvation ... it also creates internal abuse and the feeding thereof. It uses slogans and images to manipulate the minds of young people and children. Ofcourse also adults, but these things start early in childhood.
It is about time for a change, and a change will go gradually, starting with the Equal money system. A system based on life, respect and equality. From there on, a new human being can develop. A human being no longer brainwashed by the money machines that keeps everything in chains.

Will plus size become the new skinny ?
I was checking the newspaper today, and one of the titles was: " Glamour chooses more naked plus size models". (http://www.nieuwsblad.be/article/detail.aspx?articleid=DMF20110816_041)
We have all heard people talking about how in the past, heavier woman were considered to be the most attractive. And these days, being skinny is the main beauty standard in a big part of our society and culture (western) and some others.
In the september issue of the American Glamour magazine, were naked pictures of the 20 year old model Lizzie Miller. She was only wearing a thong and looked abit fuller than the average model.
The result was a flood of positive reactions from readers. They wanted to see more of these kind of models. Thats why Glamour (who follows the money flow) is planning a november issue with more naked plus size models.
Glamour tries to re-awaken the dialogue that the readers had started. Angry tongues say the magazine only publishes the picture as a publicity stunt. Glamour ofcourse argues the opposit.
The makers say more magazines should show models with a realistic figure instead of 0 sizes. So they call to designers to make bigger clothing, and not only for woman with size 0.
In this system where insecurity feeds the market, will they seriously do what is best for all? As long as profit is behind it, they need to create the things that will make them profit. They need to create the desires and standards for people to buy buy buy and feel insecure enough to buy it. It needs a certain "im not good enough" culture to do this. It also requires a big mass of working ants to create all these products and a commercial business to promote it to the people that dream of becoming more and better.
I agree that the whole 0 size thing is insane. I am a slender girl myself but I cannot imagine fitting in a size 0. I have a size 38-40 in my pants and I am 59 kg and 1m76. What the hell would I require to do to get to a size 0? I would have to start dieting, and get to an unhealthy weight which includes all kinds of health risks. You can get hormone problems, heart disease, brittle bones, infertility etc... Not only that, you are also mentaly destroying yourself to fit into a certain image. Saying to yourself that your not good enough when your not THAT image. After a while models get used to it and claim this is their natural self. But it has been programmed, and it is a business that is shown to us since we are little children. Its everywhere, even during the commercial brakes when your watching cartoon's.
When plus size would become the new skinny, again a market would be made of of it. Now they have it going well you know, all the diet products that battle against the junk food products and the people inbetween, the various therapies and the docters who get money from all the sick anorexic and obese patients, the media who gets attention with it and lots of viewers and thus money, lipsuctions, personal trainers etc... If they bombard plus size as the new standard they would start making a big business from it again (as long as profit is the drive). You can have new clothing styles, good sales of food as well, same for the media and readers, plastic surgery also to get the "right curves". People would feel alright with emotional eating or eating things that are damaging to their body (not saying that this isnt already the case).
So a solution within a profit driven system is actually not really possible. 1 thing which they desire to improves, leads to abuse on other levels. Money is nr 1 and will always be in such a system. Females will want "normal people" in magazines to feel better about themselves, but it has to sell or they wont do it. It has to sell equally as good and profit has to be made from it.

This hype around pipa middleton - WTF!?!
Since the marriage of her sister Kate Middleton, pipa has been all over the news - and it all started with ... her ass.
Sooo... the woman has an ass put her on the front page of every magazine and paper!!
LOL.
This article is not to complain about Pipa the person, the human being. Im sure Pipa herself didn't ask for it, she came to her sisters wedding and the next day she was all over the media. Although I don't know if this was set up or not. It irrelevant to the message I want to get across with this blogpost.
Because of the possitive attention her body gets, woman get jealous and even a facebook fan page has been created in her ass's honor.
The UK has also seen a rise in tanning due to the younger Middleton, and now they are reporting a spike in plastic surgery procedures as well. The tabloid also reported that one such clinic has even gone as far as to name the surgery "The Pip Package Perfect Posterior".
Since the first day I was like "wtf". And now after months I am still "wtf" with an added o_O.
All I see is a regular woman, with a normal body. But the media has kind of bombarded it as something more than it is and now people jump on it like puppets. It's pipa now and someone else in the next few months, thats how it goes. And you know why? Because it makes money. People go and look to be that way, get plastic surgery, get a gym membership, go tanning, buy her clothing or clothing that will make them look like her or equaly as "good", buy extra make up, maybe hair color, special diets and god knows what.... And this always happens time and time again. The system simply feeds off our insecurity and the sad thing is that we are the creators and maintainers. Who is in charge of beauty salons, of magazines and media, of beauty products and fashion items? People, people like you and I. Who is in charge of companies, of those promoting and teaching skills to get more buyers and pursuade people to consume and buy? People.
This is a world of people, programmed people. And we always seek to blame something or someone else, while we should really start by taking a good look within. We haven't been taught to think, we have been thought to copy and follow the thoughts that pop up into our minds or get taught to us.
At desteni we stand for the rebirth of humanity, the rebirth of yourself without the fear and shame and insecurity. To bring about the equal money system and live as the equals that we are. No one is better than another. When will we stop being these actors walking around with our gigantic ego's trying to pursuade others or buy their attention. Like those who walk around portraying the attitude of "look how important I am". Actors in their suits with their mansions and big boats and cars. When it comes down to it, we are all just living beings. Strip us naked and put us next to each other, and gone is all this seperation.
So don't wait for the rest to follow, start with yourself.

Review of "Beastly" the movie
Kyle is a senior at the Manhattan prep-school and has a very shallow and narcissistic personality. A few of his saying are:
"should you vote for me because Im rich., popular, good looking guy.. Hell Yeah!"
"My dad always said how much people will like you is directly proportional to what you look like, not your thing"
(Read more: http://authspot.com/quotes/beastly-quotes-2011/#ixzz1RLJb1ce7)
He insults people who he sees as ugly, and will redicule them in public. One of them is a witchy fellow student called Kendra (played by Mary-Kate Olsen). She is supposed to play an ugly witch although she is not ugly at all in the movie.
One day, Kyle tricks her as if he invites her to his party, but once there, he mocks and insults her infront of everyone. Kendra as a result puts a spell on him which makes him As agressively unattractive outside as he is inside. (Although I think he looks pretty cool haha).
The only way this spell will go away and that he will turn back to his normal "beautiful" form, is to have someone who will say “I love you” to him within 1 years as who he is or he will be forever beastly. As a result, he goes to hide in a luxury condo-hideout provided by his father who, as a narcissistic broadcast journalist, shares his son’s distaste for unattractive people so can’t wait to eliminate his son from his life.
Vanessa Hudgens plays the girl that will fall in love with him and say the magic words which will turn him back to normal. Same as in beauty and the beast. He has a secret crush on her and one day finds her and her dad in trouble because her dad is a drug dealer. Anyway, she has to be kept safe in his house and their bond grows. There are a lot of similarities with beauty and the beast. Like the roses, he builds a rose garden for her, also on the "tatoo" on his arms some roses appear when his time is almost up. Also like Belle, she is kept in his house without her wanting it at first. She dreams about escaping. Also the guy is a "beast" but he is stinking rich, same as the guy from beauty and the beast.
There are also a couple of touching moments in the movie, like when she actually values him for who he is inside, or when they watch a movie of a mother elephant that returns to the skeleton of her babies that died each year, where he asks "can you imagine such love"? It made me think about how much judgement there is in the world, about peoples looks and just in general as well. How people often don't really love each other, but more have attachments or desires they use the other for to fulfill. Like very conditional forms of love. Like you have to give sex, you have to look pretty, etc... Fill it in yourself.
The reason why I saw this movie was because of my friend Leila, who wrote a cool blog about it. She compares beastly to beauty and the beast and exposes some really cool stuff, so check out her blog!
http://ylaww.blogspot.com/2011/06/beastly-vs-beauty-beast.html
Often girls or woman will love unattractive males, when they are stinking rich. How many of those woman would want the same guy, if they were broke? Their numbers would decline seriously. Really we don't fully understand what real love is. Loving someone as the essence, as an equal to yourself. It doesn't mean wanting to have sex with them or feeling lovy dovy all the time. If love depends on those emotions, it comes and goes. Sometimes love is doing things which may hurt others at first, but are actually best for them. By not allowing another to be less than who they are as life, to not hold another as a prisoner by how he/she is programmed. Love is not jealousy, it is not possession.
Last quote from Leila's blog:
"So what does this say about Relationships and what a girl wants?
Girls like MONEY –in fact – everyone wants money!!!
So we should just give it to everyone so that everyone can develop proper relationships with one another without fearing for one’s survival or whether someone’s going to stab you in the back for money."
www.equalmoney.org
I want to add to that: some want money to survive, which is obvious, we need money to have enough food, a roof, electricity, clothing , water etc... That is the way our system works. But some woman want more money than they need, money to spend on luxury, on thousands of shoes, animal tested make-up products, things to try and boost their confidence, living a shallow life filled with material things trying to fill whatever gap is there. All these things require massive production and energy, and creates a lot of garbage.
So we have to take all into consideration, because equal money does not mean that everyone can just have all the riches they like. If it is abusive towards the whole, it cannot be allowed. Because today the very wealthy live like they can, because there are a lot of people on the bottom.

Does getting your periods make you a woman?
I first got my periods when I was 14 years old, in Spain on the 6th of august. We were drinking something at a restaurant outside and I went to the toilet and suddenly... there was blood!
So I instantly knew, I have my periods. I went outside and told my mom. She then told my dad and we drove to a nearby supermarket to get me some menstruation pads for the first time ever. My mom and I talked about it, and I said I would use menstruation pads and not tampons because I didn't dare to stick anything inside me. It felt abit strange to get my periods but overall it wasn't that different.
When we went back to Belgium my mom told my grandma which sais: she is a lady now.
I kinda smiled at that, not because I wanted to be a woman, but because of the way she made it sound. Like it was something to be proud off, getting your periods. Later on also my friends knew who acted as if it was something special. So that made me feel good, like I was better or something, like more of a girl/ woman.

It is intresting because you again get a label on you, like: now you are more of a woman.
Because you become fertile, because you can make babies. My grandparents are not so happy about the fact that I dont want a husband or babies now, which they didn't expect because "that is not how they raised me". Because from when we are young we are pushed into gender roles, with specific habbits and markings, specific behavior to do or to not do. If you are a lady you have to be pretty, polite, not fart or burp... shit like that. We give our children these rules, often simply because that is what we were taught ourselves. But it is like this breeding program where we already want our children to fit in and one day be a proper lady or man to find a good mating partner. Because if you are a woman but dont act like a lady, or dont look like a lady, which man will want you? People dont always think as blunt as that, but it is this pattern which is accepted, even when people are not aware of it.

And after a while, when boys and girls grow up - they start to judge each other on that behavior. They will even tease their peers for not fitting in that image, even bully them! There was once a girl in my class which looked like a boy and she got bullied a lot. It was in age group 13, quite young. But this gets taught to children. As if when a girl looks like a boy, suddenly they are inferior and treated inferior. If they wouldnt have known she was a girl, would they have done that? Probably not.
So parents, be careful of what you say to your children, and what you project and the limitations that you may box them into. Because this has a bigger effect than you can imagine.
Just look at the world, and you got your proof.

Which mask are you wearing today? Celebrities without make up
All over the web you can find pictures of celebrities without make up.
Anna Kournikova
Alicia Silverstone
Avril Lavigne
Often these pics come together with comments such as:
"Check out some more pictures of celebrities without make up at the following links. Yikes!!! No Makeup!"
"Some celebs look great without the paint! Some, well, er, um, yeah..."
'Yikes', as if it is something horrible. There is a constant focus on beauty, on looking a certain way, on creating a certain picture to be liked by others. This is the product of a world devided, a world without real care for beings as who they are, a world obsessed with money and ego. What are people really dressing up for? Money, it makes money. It is like buying peoples attraction with your looks.
The population loves these kind of pictures because it shows them that they are not "perfect" either, as what the media portrays "perfect" and what is presented in photoshopped magazine covers or by people who spend their entire day on keeping up a fit trained body and so called "perfect skin", all to fit into this ideal and have the "positive" attention from others.
It is easy to look like a celebrity, like someone in a magazine. You get make up put on, your hair done in the style that according to our culture "suits you best", maybe some photoshopping on your pictures and done.
But does this all make people happier? By constantly worrying about what others think about them, by feeling shit when people don't think good about them, and feeling good when people do? Is this really the life we want to live?
Our cultures acts as if it is bad when you have certain features that they see as "flaws", and that you have to cover up. Like: "do not wear three quarter pants when you have short legs", or "do not wear socks in sandals". Who the fuck cares. Seriously, I couldnt care less if someone weares socks in their sandals, if that is comfortable for them, go for it!
The way to stop your insecurities, and the emotional ups and downs attached to your picture presentation, is by a process of self-honesty.
By looking within yourself, to find out which thoughts trigger your emotions, make you feel insecure, bad, depressed, unworthy, not good enough etc...
And to lay out these patterns so that you see how they are programmed within you, and that they do not serve you or anyone else. And to realise that you do not have to be a slave to those thoughts! You do not have to follow them. You can breath, stop, and let them go and remain present in the moment.
And that is what I have done through and by my participating with desteni. I started to see these patterns within myself and slowely but surely take responsebility for them. Because I don't want to live like I did before. I don't want to keep judging myself and feeling bad about it. I don't want to grow old and dislike my wrinkles or my sagging body. I want to accept my body, and not punish myself because someone said that it was/is not good enough.
Because without these cultural judgements, would we even feel insecure about it?
If you look at all various beauty standards in all culture around the globe and throughout history?
The change begins with ourselves. Don't underestimate yourself.

OMG reincarnation is fucked up!
There is something fucked up about the believe in karma and reincarnation.
I just got a reply from someone saying that rich people deserve it because they have reincarnated and did good things in their past life. That is why they are wealthy right now or got the opportunity. Lol, but think about it.
If that would be true, look at the rich and wealthy, how many abuse they support, and even create the abuse themselves sometimes, like corporate owners who have people slave for them in sweatshops, who purely live for their own self-intrest, who don’t give a shit, who gossip, who hate, who place themselves as superior etc… which means in their next life they gotta suffer again since they abused and were so “bad” in this life. LOL .
And the ones being abused now, according to that person, deserve it because of their previous life. But they cant remember it so how can they learn from that? + The abuse is brought to them by others, often with more wealth, which means that it is a never ending circle :P Kinda insane!
So you Have;
I just got a reply from someone saying that rich people deserve it because they have reincarnated and did good things in their past life.
LOL .

So you Have;
Person A, was a bad person ------à reincarnates in a position where he/she will suffer
Person B, was a good person --à Reincarnates in a position of wealth and opportunity
Person B, was a good person --à Reincarnates in a position of wealth and opportunity
Both of them ===è Don’t remember a damn thing about their past life
Person A is now a child starving to death
Person B is the boss of a corporation who only cares for himself and does not care about the world which he contributes to every day, a system that exploits life and which he participates in.
Person B is the boss of a corporation who only cares for himself and does not care about the world which he contributes to every day, a system that exploits life and which he participates in.
Person B, who previous was the good person, is thus now the bad person, who allows and creates suffering.
RIP person B -à reincarnates in a position of suffering
Person A, child that died of starvation, is thus now a “good innocent” person
RIP person A è reincarnates in a wealthy family
RIP person B -à reincarnates in a position of suffering
Person A, child that died of starvation, is thus now a “good innocent” person
RIP person A è reincarnates in a wealthy family
Person A is brought up being spoiled and projects this in his life. Also not giving a damn, just wanting to have fun and think poor people got it coming.
Person B now reincarnates as a suffering animal in a slaughter house.
Person B now reincarnates as a suffering animal in a slaughter house.
RIP person A è person A been bad again thus reincarnates as a suffering being
RIP person B è was innocent, did nothing wrong, thus reincarnates in a good position
RIP person B è was innocent, did nothing wrong, thus reincarnates in a good position
Etc…..
Isnt that fucked up? Lol!
